Ryan had a good day today. We broke him out of the hospital for a little bit! Well, It was really just a walk, but we got him outside for some fresh air. He is getting worn out and tired faster than he used to and needs a nap pretty much everyday. His blood levels were good today so he didn't need any transfusions. The doctors and pharmacists are working hard to get approval from the insurance company for him to get discharged from the hospital but still stay here in Pennsylvania to finish this initial phase of treatment. We're excited to possibly get discharged but everyone at the Children's Hospital has been amazing! The doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, EVS and food service have all been so kind and made a really difficult time so much easier to get through. We are a little sad that Ryan won't be finishing his treatments here with all the people who started him on his journey.
