February 10th

I'm a little late getting an update up. Ryan is feeling the effects of chemo a little more with each treatment. Thursday after chemo was rough for him. He had a headache and was nauseous. He is taking a few days to start to feel better from the treatment. Yesterday was a good day for him and today he is back to himself teasing me and cracking jokes. It's really good to see him happy and smiling and laughing. He has kept his sense of humor for sure! This week he started homebound instruction for school. The school district sends a teacher to the house to help keep him caught up in his core classes so he doesn't fall behind. On Thursday he'll go back to Texas Children's for treatment. He is going to have another spinal tap and two (I think) different chemo infusions. Ryan changed from the option of doing the lumbar puncture in the clinic with laughing gas to going to the PACU and having more sedation. It is easier for him to tolerate and he doesn't even know it has happened.
