January 25th 2026

We have had a very eventful last few days. On January 21st Ryan went back to Janet Weis Children's Hospital for a lumbar puncture and bone marrow biopsy. During the lumbar puncture the doctor took a sample of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) to check again to make sure there are no leukemia cells in the CSF and give him a dose of methotrexate in the CSF. The bone marrow biopsy was to check the bone marrow for leukemia cells. We are waiting for all the results from those tests to come back. The doctor said they should be back by Monday. Doing these at this point is to check for any residual leukemia cells. We left Pennsylvania early because of the ice storms that were coming and got home very early Friday morning. It was great to see all the other kids and be back at home. We've started getting all the appointments for next week lined up for Ryan. We are going to Texas Children's Hospital on Tuesday and Thursday. On Tuesday the plan is to meet the oncology team and see the clinic and get acquainted to Texas Children's. On Thursday the plan is for another lumbar puncture and chemo infusion. I know we're going to have some rough days ahead, but for right now, things seem to be going pretty well.
